a doctor committed malpractice against me. and his colleagues perpetuated it, almost killing me. i now have copd. from malpractice. when i catch a cold it never stays a cold. it always turns into bronchitis or pneumonia. i was a patient at world renowned national jewish center for respiratory and immunological disorders in denver, colorado for four years, as an outpatient.they thoroughly educate all their patients about their medical problems. but i still would get pneumonia or bronchitis from every cold. i started learning about vitamins and supplements. for most of my life i pooh poohed it. but , after all, modern medicine is only 200 years old. people have been healing with plants, vitamins and herbs since prehistory.. after seven years of trials i first had to get the candida albicans out of my system the doctor put into me with an injection. i listened to doug kaufmann of the your health channel. i did what he suggested. it took two bottles of caprylic acid,which i bought from the vitamin catalog. from the doctor i got a two week supply of diflucan and a month supply of nystatin. i added probiotic acidophilus, multi enzyme formula, psyllium husk caps, chickweed, all to cleanse my colon and restabilize the ph levelthat too many antibiotics knocked out of shape. i'm immune to many antibiotics now including power hitter antibiotics. because of the candida albicans in my system, when i caught a cold it would linger, ane i would suffer. it took two super power hitters of antibiotics at the same time to begin helping me. i had to go around wearing a pick line in my arm, in case i needed emergency steriod i'v's. finally i got the idea to ask my doctor about the possibility that candida albicans was the cause. i talked him into diflucan. within two days i began to heal. this was a few years before i began experimenting with vitamins and herbs. after i got rid of the candida albicans, i started the regimen to cleanse my colon. but i got tired of having to go to the emergency ward every time i got a cold. and the $50.00 copays were murder on my finances. within the last four years i think i've got the cure. here it is: 4,500mg. vitamin c 2- 400 i.u of vitamin e. 2- 8,000 iu of vitamin a 3- 200mcgs. selenium. a potent 75 vitamin with chelated minerals do this in the morning, but must be done as soon as you feel the first symptoms of a cold. drink plenty of water abd stay away from caffeine. it is a diuretic. in the evening take another 4,500 mgs of vitamin c. i will not promise this to work on every cold, but given my history, it should help a good many people. but you must take these as soon as you feel a cold coming on. if you wait until the cold get a firmer hold on you, you must take this regimen every day until the cold is gone. IT DOESN NOT WORK ON THE FLU but i stock up in august, during the dog days of summer. also key to knocking out the cold, with this regimen, you should, ideally, shut down and stay in bed for the day, if you can. if you cannot, on cold days bundle up well. stay away from chills. and avoid stress as much as possible. drink plenty of water. nothing better has come around for me. when you can't breathe, nothing matters. i simply got tired of felling like that. i hope this can help some people. maybe not all, as everyone's systems are different, but it should help many others. i agree! a cold is not a disease. it is a virus before i found the vitamins, i had pneumonia or bronchitis three times each year. these vitamins are immune boosters. this is why you need to start taking them as soon as you feel the cold coming on. and no, it is not a known cure. i discovered it out of necessity to keep from sinking into bronchitis or pneumonia. bronchitis and pneumonia can be either bacterial or viral. the vitamins will knock the bejesus out of your cold when you first feel the symptoms. because it gives you a strong group of immune boosters. if it is viral, it will help you. if it is bacterial you will know, if you get sicker fast, and coufgh up green sickly sweet mucous. you will get sicker and cough up more and more green stuff. go to the doctor to get antibiotics only if it is bacterial, not viral. after tantibiotics you will need probiotics to restabilze your ph level. most doctors only know about pharmaceuticals. drugs control disease vitamins cure. i think i'd rather believe the good doctors at national jewish who diagnosed mer. yes you can get copd from malpractice you have no idea how long i was sick from that malpractice. long enough to damage the airsacs in my lungs. a high resolution lung ct, found the beginnings of emplysema in my lungs. and i saw the ct.and they explained it to me very well. there is also anotyher another way you can get emphysema. the hereditary form of it, but only one percent of one percent of all emphasemics have the hereditary form. you know, if someone is fed poisonous chemicals over a long enough period of time, they can develop leukermia. you cannot find emphysema with an exray until 50-60% of the lungs are gone. i high resolution lung ct found the beginning traces of emphysema in my lungs. my brother in law is a surtgeon. he looked at the ct and told me it would take 15-20 years for the emphysema to show up in an exray. i get winded walking short distances now. i use a hepa air purifier to help clean my air and hopefully slow down the destruction from emphysema. if my brother in law was right, in about 10 more years i will be on oxygen. Going to be as brief as possible: 21, male, healthy. Large build 230, 6'2. Drank wine a bit consistently for 5-6 months, no problems. Drank other hard liquor in the past, no problems. Tried Gin on June 6th, half a bottle (Seagram's Extra Dry mixed with lemon juice and ginger ale..I don't usually mix, was doing so for fun). Immediately noticed I had to keep taking deep breaths/out of breath sensation, stopped. Not sure if the Japanese food (sushi etc.) could've had an impact. Drank Jack Daniels and rot gut vodka before, so it was not a matter of tolerance or alcohol exposure. Next day woke up to a feeling below the throat, felt like a constant need to cough. Went to the doctor...EKG, Chest X-Ray, Barium Swallow, Spirometer/Flow Meter (lung test), Gallbladder Liver scan, all negative. Endoscopy showed a very very small 3-4 cm sliding hiatal hernia, deemed asymptomatic (does not produce symptoms) as it was so small it didn't even show on the Barium Swallow X-ray. Endoscopy showed no irritation, irregularities or inflammation. Allergy tests showed nothing, Clarinex did nothing. Symptoms are: Constant cough/irritation between collar bones, murky/powdery stools (as if you were to flush powder from the bottom of the toilet bowl and it billows up), sinus congestion, excessive burping, extreme fatigue, minor heart palpitations, yellow/white coated tongue, hurts to take a deep breath. I was told by someone in the alternative medicine field regarding reoccurrent oral thrush {even after conventional Amp B Lozenges, Daktarin Oral Gel ect.} that: 'If your doctor is claiming that it's localized to your tounge he's an idiot. It most commonly appears in the tounge once candida becomes systemic.' I'm confused, how does candida get to the tongue, does it: A) travel in the bloodstream and them inhabit/colonise the tongue, well the outer mucousal layer. B) Or does it grow from the intestines through the stomach up the oesophagus and then on the tongue?, since many alt. medicine website claims a reduced levels of acid HCl produced by the stomach cells. C) Or does the antibotics kill the good bacteria on the tongue, and thus damage the good/bad bacterial/fungi ecosystem there, causing candida{which is not affected by antibiotics} to overgrow on the tongue, and thus is oppertunistic. Is it bad to take too much? I thought I had some candida going on so I took fluconazole (1 pill 1 time stuff) 2 days ago and it seems to be helping but just in case i went to the doctor today and he said he`d never heard of this medicine (I live in Japan ,so a Japanese doctor) and gave me some creams for my infection. Please do not recommend colon cleanses or herbal remedies, they don't work for me, I have tried them ALL. I have tried all the special diets too.I have had this problem for 17 years and it is in the colon / upper intestine.I have had 2 colonoscopies in the last 3 years.They saw nothing weird, but you cannot detect candida that way, or so I have heard. I do not have vaginal yeast infections ironically, probably because my urine is super acidic, but I see symptoms all throughout my body in the last year that the yeast has infiltrated my system. I have read The Yeast Syndrome by Towbridge and done extensive research, but I think the best answers come from others who have used medicines themselves.I have used the highest level probiotics that helped, but did not resolve it. I know of Nystatin and Fluconazole, but have yet to try. Need a recommend.Oh and my doctor(s) do not believe in this particular strain of candida and do not want to prescribe anything due to the cost of it. Nice huh? I have a yeast infection like once every 2 months.Its so annoying.I've been to the doctor so many times and they just keep giving me diflucan and it takes it away but it come right back if the next month the month after! I am a newly wed and the really affects my sex life! I just got prescribed a new medicine called gynacozole hopefully that one applicator works better than the otc medicine and the stupid diflucan. I'm so sick of people telling me it's all in my head or it's just stress when clearly things are starting to get visible. Do you think the HIV test result was wrong? I mean,it was after 7 months that I got tested. Don't you think if I had anything it would've shown up by december, if I had gotten cut at the manicurist's in may? I've had about 3 CBC's and they've all been good until december when my WBC count was a little high. I had another cbc done in september and my cholesterol was a little high, but not by much. I have a question about candida overgrowth. I was told by 2 homeopathists or something in 2 health food shops,after a test that involved a metal probe in the palm of my hand twice that I had a Candida Overgrowth in my body and this was causing me to feel spacey, tired and headachey all the time. He said he had "learned a lot from me." I am a fibromyalgia patient and our system responds differently than anyone else to medication. Medicines just do not have any effect on me except to make me feel drunk. I never get relief. Hello can anyone give me any advice or information?I wil try to explain.. I am 21,and when I was 15 my dad died suddenly.It was a huge shock.I began binge eating becase I was depressed,mainly on sugary food,and also had the depo provera contraception for 9 months.Around this time, I began feeling very..down and spaced out and sickly.I couldnt concentrate and everthing felt a dreamlike state.To cut a long story short, 4 years later I feel worse and worse.So so tired,overweight,spotty,spaced out,pressure on my head and sickly, almost flu like. I went to a alternative medicine clinic and they said it was a CANDIDA OVERGROWTH and,suggested a strict diect that also ruled out certain intolerances they say I have eg wheat. Anyway it is 100 pound a month for the treatment and I dont know what to do. I tried to commit suicide last month coz i cant bare to be so ill and my dr wont listen,it is so bad. The internet forums recommend REALLY strict diets that I feel are impossible.. is it possible to get rid of this candida (Does this sound like it is my problem) using a less strict diet that basically minimises sugar and alcohol, cuts out yeast and is just really healthy? I can certainly handle a diet, I am overweight and have joined weight watchers, but these candida diets are so extreme.. no dairy, no grains, no potatoes, no fruit.. I did the spit test and my spit was stringy and fell to the bottom. I had bad breath for about 7 years and sinus problems. I also have toe nail fungus and tinea versicolor fungus of the skin. I got the tinea under control but nothin else. It started during a very stressful time and i was going through puberty.
